The Team

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate to join our Learning & Development Operations team. This role is critical to the Learning Partners' ability to identify and meet business needs. The role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting and/or learning and development, with a focus on behavior-based learning initiatives within a professional services environment

How you will contribute

Learning Partner Support and Collaboration:



  • Trusted Advisor Support: Assist Learning Partners in acting as trusted advisors on all matters related to learning and development.


  • Strategic Alignment: Support Learning Partners in understanding respective BU's business model, strategy, and growth plan to identify and prioritize learning needs.


  • BU Relationship Management: Help Learning Partners serve as the primary point of contact and communicator between BUs and the Global Learning team.


  • Competency Awareness: Maintain a deep understanding of the BU's performance management framework and expected behaviors to identify gaps and support growth.


  • Skill & Knowledge Assessment: Collaborate with Learning Partners to assess and document the current knowledge, skills, and capabilities of individuals or teams within the BU.


  • Learning Path Development: Assist in the design, development, storage, and adoption of learning paths that align with BU objectives and individual career growth.


  • Communication Oversight: Assist in developing learning communications for relevant BUs, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with BU goals.


  • Reporting: Provide necessary reporting on learning participation, engagement, and outcomes to BUs.

Training Strategy & Budget:



  • Needs Assessment: Support Learning Partner(s) in conducting needs assessment(s)


  • Strategy Implementation: Assist in developing and implementing the training strategy for each assigned BU, ensuring alignment with both BU and company goals.


  • Budget Monitoring: Support the monitoring and management of the BU's training budget, ensuring all learning initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with strategic priorities.

L&D Operations:



  • Course Portfolio Coordination:

    • Leverage a strong knowledge of the full course catalog to recommend and align training resources with BU needs.

    • Collaborate with learning portfolio teams to provide input that ensures courses are developed and updated to meet BU needs.




  • Delivery Coordination:

    • Work with the Delivery Team to ensure courses reflect BU culture and are well-received by participants.

    • Attend training courses as needed.

    • Provide input to the delivery team as needed in order to execute course-related communications and enrollment/registration.

    • Provide input into the training calendar, including start dates, training dates, and dates to avoid.




Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.

  • Experience: Approximately 3-5 years in learning and development and/or consulting.

  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate learning needs.

  • Communication & Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams and managing stakeholder relationships.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently manage multiple projects.

  • Client-Facing Skills: Skilled in client-facing tasks, supporting senior leaders and teams.

  • Resilience: Able to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Benefits Summary

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
