Job Overview:
Seeking a highly experienced Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership, DevOps expertise, and full-stack development across enterprise-wide software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based architectures, and DevOps automation while also delivering high-quality, scalable, and resilient software solutions.
As a Staff Engineer, you will work closely with IT leadership, software engineers, and enterprise stakeholders to design and implement long-term technical solutions that align with business objectives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, problem-solving environment, actively contributes to architectural decisions, and leads cross-functional teams in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Architecture & Development:
Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions that align with long-term enterprise strategy.
Develop cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kafka, REST/SOAP APIs, and OpenShift.
Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
DevOps & CI/CD Leadership:
Architect and build robust CI/CD pipelines using Git, Bitbucket, Visual Studio Code, and Jira.
Drive DevOps best practices, ensuring high levels of automation, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize deployment strategies, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
Act as a technical mentor, guiding engineers on best practices in software development and DevOps.
Lead collaborative discussions with IT leadership, architects, and product teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Drive innovation by researching and implementing emerging technologies.
Strategic Technology Leadership:
Define and implement engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across teams.
Advocate for a modern DevOps culture that prioritizes continuous integration, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
Work with stakeholders to define the technology roadmap and ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategies.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
✅ 15+ years of software engineering experience, including backend and frontend development. ✅ 10+ years of experience in integration technologies (Java, REST APIs, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kafka, OpenShift, Docker, Messaging Queues). ✅ 5+ years of deep DevOps experience, including building and managing CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments. ✅ Strong experience in cloud platforms, system integration, and API development. ✅ Proven ability to lead large-scale software projects and work with enterprise stakeholders. ✅ Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership. ✅ Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in financial services or highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with AI-driven solutions and cloud security best practices.
Strong background in performance optimization and system reliability engineering (SRE).
