This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain project controls processes, including cost estimation, scheduling, risk management, and performance tracking.
Monitor project progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Utilize project management tools with advanced proficiency (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) to track and report on project performance metrics.
Lead the transition from project-level controls to program-level oversight, ensuring seamless integration of multiple projects into cohesive programs.
Define program objectives, establish governance frameworks, and align resources to achieve strategic goals.
Oversee cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges at both project and program levels.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.
Prepare and present detailed reports to executive leadership, providing insights into program performance and recommendations for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
15+ years of experience in Project Controls, including 5+ years leading teams and directing supervisors/managers in the execution of Project Controls activities, with proven expertise in performance feedback.
Extensive experience in Project Controls leadership, including cost engineering (estimating, control, and analysis) and planning and scheduling (development, monitoring, and analysis). Strong background in setting up project control tools and reporting cycles for prime contracts and subcontracts and contributing to the transition from Project to Program Management capabilities.
Experience delivering large-scale ($500M+) civil projects in the highways/roads/bridges, transit, rail, or aviation sectors.
Expert level knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
Experienced in evaluating and presenting the commercial impacts of cost and schedule changes.
Experienced in developing project delivery strategies, defining work packages, and translating prime contract requirements into detailed Project Execution Plans and subcontract scopes.
Experienced in designing and implementing structured organizational charts that adapt to each phase of project development and execution, ensuring the team structure evolves in a manner that effectively supports project needs.
Advanced proficiency with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional Engineer license Colorado.
PMP (through PMI), PCP (through AACE), CCM, or other relevant certification.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $104k-$208k/yr ($50-$100/hr). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
