Job Summary:
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for maintaining and growing sales within assigned accounts. The AE will develop relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders to identify opportunities to drive revenue growth and maximize market share for BD Diagnostic Systems in their area of responsibility. This role provides guidance to customers regarding BD products and services and coordinates selling efforts with other internal and 3rd party selling channel partners.
Responsibilities:
1. Develops and implements strategies to increase market share and achieve financial targets in his/her area of responsibility.
2. Assesses trends in customer needs and preferences and modifies selling approach accordingly.
3. Maintains awareness of competitive environment and competitor's activities such as new product introductions, pricing actions, promotional programs, etc.
4. Explores new business opportunities by monitoring existing markets and developing new markets.
5. Responds to non-routine customer requests for information or assistance; makes effective presentations to customers on behalf of BD.
6. Facilitates interactions between the customer and other members of the organization as required to ensure the timely resolution of issues and identification of new opportunities.
7. Works independently to plan daily work schedule, set priorities among assignments, and organize time to meet deadlines.
8. Monitors progress toward achieving goals established for an account(s); prepares periodic reports on status of key performance indicators.
9. Maintains high level of knowledge of industry and products.
10. Demonstrates an understanding of the impact of his/her actions on others and on the organization.
