Claims Advocacy Consultant at MMC in Houston, Texas

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Claims Advocacy Consultant to join our Advisory team at Marsh. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in our Houston or Dallas office.


As a Claims Advocacy Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert coverage and claims strategy advice to clients facing complex coverage issues. Your expertise will assist clients in navigating the claims process from preparation to closure, ensuring they receive the support they need. The ideal candidate will have complex oil and gas property claims and energy claims experience.



We will count on you to:

• Provide comprehensive coverage and claims strategy advice to clients, addressing complex coverage issues and assisting with claims preparation.
  
  


• Lead the complex claims process, facilitating detailed client claim review meetings and participating in strategic discussions to ensure timely progress.
  
  


• Liaise with insurers and their advisors on complex queries and policy coverage discussions to support smooth claims reviews.
  
  


• Develop thought leadership materials and draft communication documents, including correspondence letters and claims calculations, to support clients throughout the claims process.
  
  


• Assess and analyze data, such as loss statistics and key trends, to provide sound recommendations for managing clients' total cost of risk.
  
  

What you need to have:

• At least 8 years of claims handling experience.
  
  


• Multiple years' experience handling commercial property claims.
  
  


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
