As aSecurity Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of both guests and team members, while contributing to a secure and peaceful environment throughout the hotel property. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will support our goal of achieving Forbes 5-Star status by creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere where guests feel at ease. You will take pride in providing exemplary service, engaging with guests in a refined and genuine manner, anticipating their needs, and ensuring that their security concerns are handled promptly and discreetly. Your presence and vigilance will contribute to an exceptional guest experience and reinforce the hotel's commitment to both luxury and safety.

What will I be doing?

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Patrol both the interior and exterior of the hotel property, observing and identifying potential safety and security risks, as well as any undesirable conditions.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life or property, ensuring a calm and efficient resolution.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices for both team members and guests to maintain a secure environment.
  • Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents, ensuring all details are gathered accurately.
  • Write detailed reports and ensure the accuracy of necessary documentation, maintaining thorough records.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, always engaging with guests with refinement and a genuine interest in their safety and comfort.
  • Anticipate and address guest security needs in a discreet, proactive manner, ensuring a seamless experience.

The rate of pay for this role is $30.3017- $40.4023 Per Hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience.

The ideal candidate will be vigilant, proactive, and poised, with the ability to handle emergency situations with calm and professionalism. You will contribute to the hotel's reputation for safety, luxury, and extraordinary service while ensuring that all team members and guests feel secure and well cared for.

The following reflects the required and / or preferred certificates, licensures, and experience:


  • Valid FLSD - COF - T89 License is required.
  • OSHA General Industry Authorized Trainer certification preferred.
  • CLSD (Certified Loss Prevention Specialist) certification preferred.
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional) certification preferred.
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to identify potential security risks and safety hazards quickly and accurately.
  • A proactive, vigilant approach to maintaining a secure environment while still delivering friendly and professional guest service.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently, ensuring a safe outcome.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both guests and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
  • A refined demeanor with the ability to engage guests in a genuine, approachable, and calm manner, ensuring they feel secure and valued.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently, showing initiative and responsibility in managing security-related tasks and incidents.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
