Role Summary

As a Public Sector Contracts Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving growth through strategic contract management. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in government contracts who thrives in building relationships, navigating complex contract terms, and collaborating with internal teams. You'll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and managing Federal, (SLED), and healthcare contracts to expand our presence and drive business growth.

This is a remote position that requires approximately 30% domestic travel to tradeshows and industry events.

In This Role, You Will…

  • Identify, pursue, and secure Federal, SLED, and healthcare contracts to drive new business opportunities.
  • Lead the negotiation, renewal, and management of key contracts, including GSA, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract terms, conditions, and guidelines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our Sales Managers and Reps, providing insights, training, and tools to effectively leverage contract opportunities.
  • Monitor bid sites for new contract opportunities and manage the submission process.
  • Develop strong partnerships with contract organizations to foster long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and internal teams to align contract strategies with overall business objectives.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Proven experience managing complex federal contracts is required; experience with SLED and healthcare contracts is highly preferred but not essential.
  • Contracts experience with knowledge of GSA purchasing processes is highly preferred.
  • Experience in commercial furniture or similar industry is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contract terms and deadlines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions and resolve issues effectively.
  • Ability to train and support internal teams on contract-related processes and best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptability and dependability.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.

The hiring range for this remote position is $90,000 to $120,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. This role also includes an annual incentive as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
