Job Details:
This position is responsible for light to medium general labor such as operating machinery and maintaining production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
This position could work in any department of Rendering. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are involved in all areas. Lifting is involved in many areas (weight depends upon area).
Please note: These team members will be required to operate and/or work on heavy and moving equipment, log/write info on log-sheets, moving parts, work on elevated platforms, power tools and regular tools, climbing ladders with heights as high as 50ft plus, climb storage silos and railcars, moving machinery, working with chemicals, intestines, parts of the cattle, blood/plasma, waste from cattle, hot & cold environments, hot water and steam, may require working outside in elements, lifting heavy weight over 50lbs and occasion 100lbs and working with computers as well as drive forklifts and bobcat/skid-loader, using lockout/tag-outs, and use fall protection. Must work in extreme hot (75 degrees to 105 degrees), humid and wet environments, use of hands and arms above shoulder level and stand or walk 8-10 hours per day.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit.
Requirements:
Must have 1 month experience operating Heavy machinery in the last 12 months.
