JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for assisting with the management and monitoring of daily Treasury activities, monitoring investments, reporting on the liquidity of bank accounts, assisting in the development of bank relationships, and ensuring Treasury policies and procedures are consistently applied.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by Harbor Group Management Company.
Develop and maintain relationships with property personnel and other internal departments
Provide customer service to research and resolve bank related items
Act as a Treasury liaison with the company's business units in setting up new banking accounts, services, and handling bank inquiries and related matters
Set-up login access for online banking for property personnel and respond to requests for password resets and changes needed for login access
Work with internal departments and multiple banks to close bank accounts when needed
Support corporate accounting, corporate tax, financial planning, internal audit and other functions as they relate to Treasury transactions and entity structures
Track and analyze bank account fees. Work with various banks on questions and adjustments to fees charged and make recommendations for fee savings
Provide support on all banking service projects such as treasury workstation, bank software or other treasury technologies; perform research as needed related to the evaluation of new banking products
Initiate and execute funds movement via wires, ACH and internal bank transfers upon receiving proper approvals
Assist other departments (e.g., Audit, Accounting) with month-end, quarter-end and ad hoc transfer requests as needed
Provide notifications of completed activities to appropriate property accountant(s) for them to book to the ledger
Act as an administrator for all treasury systems to include but not limited to CashPro, Paymode, Kyriba
Assist in reviewing and maintaining investment activity for various Fund platforms. Track bond and repo activity.
Acts as a back-up for processing deposits. Preparing and processing of various deposits received from other internal departments
Acts as a back-up for processing cash reconciliation items. Assisting with deposit adjustments, not sufficient funds (NSF) notifications and merchant charge backs to ensure items are processed promptly
Annual cleanup of Treasury documents required under the Company's document destruction and retention policies
Responding to internal and external audit requests for treasury related audit documentation
Recommend and implement solutions to strengthen operational controls and incorporate best practices.
Review and approve all non-repetitive wire transfers; ensure transactions have appropriate documentation and authorization
Resolve any denials and/or fraud situations in an urgent manner
Lead and assist with Treasury projects and initiatives
Interact professionally with members of senior management

Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2-4 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance; experience in Treasury operations/Banking a plus
Knowledge of the banking industry and technical
knowledge of bank products
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to work independently and determine and develop approaches to problems
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines and succeed in a dynamic environment
