JOB SUMMARY

A Production Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising hourly employees, setting shift/daily goals, managing inventory, driving success in all KPIs and/or key business metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, etc.), driving performance improvements in managing cost and continuous improvement, and team member development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizes personnel assignments and training to meet daily customer production schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements Perform daily employee performance & attendance management actions Assist in developing and onboarding new team members Drive and lead organizational strategic imperatives and initiatives Implement improvement ideas by leveraging team members feedback and suggestions on opportunities Assist in developing a culture focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost Communicate relevant business information, company policies, and business updates to team members Collaborate cross functionally with other departments and organizational stakeholders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Behavioral Based Safety ISO Standards/Quality Management System OSHA and Environmental standards Performance Management Operational Excellence / Lean / Continuous Improvement Working knowledge of DMAIC methodology Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint) Production & Resource Planning Managing KPI Performance & Quality Training & Developing Work Instructions Analytical & Critical Thinking Structured Problem Solving & Decision Making Verbal and Written Communication & Interpersonal Skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Associate Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree

EXPERIENCE: 5+ people leadership experience in manufacturing environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
