Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for our Plymouth, MI facility. In this role you will oversee the maintenance operations at our metal powder atomization facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all equipment and systems, coordinating maintenance activities, and leading a team of maintenance technicians. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of equipment.
• Regularly inspect equipment and systems to identify potential issues and coordinate necessary repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and oversee the repair process.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and tools. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Use CMMS to keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate quick resolution to minimize production impact.

Your Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in metal powder atomization or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
