Overview: Join our team as an HR Business Partner. This role is essential in providing comprehensive HR support to our associates. You'll work closely with associates to foster a supportive and engaged workplace while contributing to your professional growth in various HR functions.
HR Presence: Establish and maintain a vital HR presence to support and engage associates.
Support & Guidance: Act as a resource for information, training, and problem resolution regarding performance management, conflict resolution, and employment policies.
Values Promotion: Promote and embody Altec's values in all interactions.
Communication: Share information on company programs, job postings, training, and benefits.
Associate Relations:
Address employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
Conduct thorough investigations related to compliance and employee relations.
Oversee leaves of absence by maintaining communication with associates on leave and following all related procedures.
Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR policies and federal/state laws, including EEO and ADA guidelines.
Offboarding: Conduct exit interviews and ensure termination paperwork is completed.
Additional Duties: Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required
Bachelor's Degree required, with no experience
OR
4+ years applicable HR experience required
AND
HR Certification preferred (SHRM or HRCI)
Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent computer skills, with preference for Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Kronos experience.
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
