Job Description Summary:
Become a Career Center Ambassador (CCA) for the 2025-26 academic year! Our CCAs are trained to support and represent the Villanova Career Center in all areas of career and professional development.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Training is provided to support you in these areas)
Front Desk & Operations: Greeting all guests to the Career Center; scheduling and checking in appointments; answering in-person and phone inquiries; Handshake maintenance; data projects; organizing and maintaining the Wildcat Wardrobe; supporting all Career Center staff in various ways
Peer Career Advising & Presentations: Providing peer-to-peer support on resumes, cover letters, job/internship searching, networking, and more; hosting career presentations for student groups
Events & Promotions: Set-up and support of Career Center and employer events; promoting the Career Center and our services through on-campus tabling and promotions; representing the Career Center brand across campus – Events may take place during daytime and evening hours
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills/customer service required. Job will involve frequent interaction with students, staff, and potentially external constituents such as alumni, employers, and parents
Willingness to take initiative
Reliability, time management and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information discreetly
TRAINING AND TIME COMMITMENTMandatory trainings take place to build your knowledge and skills in the responsibilities of the job, provide professional development you can use in your career planning, and create opportunities to connect with your peers and the Career Center team.
The training schedule is still being finalized and may include mandatory training before classes start in August 2025. If so, you will need to return to campus early, and we will work with you and Residence Life regarding early move-in and provide meals during training.
If you have a position on campus that conflicts with your ability to attend mandatory training prior to the start of classes in the fall, unfortunately, you are not eligible for this position.
Additional mandatory trainings take place during the fall and spring semesters.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with interviews and decisions taking place in April 2025, and hiring paperwork being completed with Human Resources before the end of the spring semester.
We will be in contact with you in the spring as you finalize your class schedule about your availability to work in the fall semester. Positions are dependent on schedule availability in the fall.
