Amneal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a skilled ERP Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role will focus on the design, development, implementation, and support of ERP solutions in the manufacturing and supply chain domains. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various business units to ensure the seamless integration of manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution operations with the JD Edwards system, driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
ERP Implementation and Support: Lead the implementation, customization, and support of ERP modules specific to Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Inventory Management, Procurement, and Sales Order Management. Work with business users to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and design solutions that align with operational needs. Develop and maintain configurations, security settings, and process workflows, ensuring optimized use of ERP capabilities.
System Customization and Development: Develop and implement custom applications, reports, and workflows using ERP toolsets like Orchestrator and BI Publisher. Configure the system to meet the unique requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, especially around compliance and traceability. Support the development of interfaces for seamless integration with third-party systems (e.g., CRM, LIMS, shipping systems).
Process Improvement and Optimization: Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution teams to streamline operations, improve efficiencies, and reduce costs by leveraging ERP capabilities. Implement best practices for manufacturing processes such as production scheduling, work orders, bill of materials (BOM) management, and shop floor control. Develop and enhance supply chain processes, including demand planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics.
Compliance and Validation: Ensure that all ERP configurations and customizations comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and FDA guidelines. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to support validation processes, documentation, and testing for ERP systems in compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations.
Integration and Data Management: Oversee integration between ERP and other enterprise systems, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), SCADA, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to provide real-time data insights for KPIs, inventory levels, production performance, and other critical business metrics. Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
Training and Support: Provide hands-on training and support to end users in various departments on ERP system functionalities. Troubleshoot issues, provide system updates, and ensure smooth operation of the ERP platform, focusing on manufacturing and supply chain activities. Coordinate with external vendors and technical consultants to resolve system issues, implement upgrades, and support ERP version upgrades.
Travel expectations of approximately 15-25% to support other sites, including New Jersey.
Education:
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. - Required
Experience:
A combined 8 years of ERP implementation/support experience (preferably in pharmaceuticals).
5 years or more in ERP Development Background
Skills:
8+ years of experience preferably in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) ERP implementation and support, specifically in manufacturing and supply chain modules. - Advanced
Strong experience in business process mapping and requirements gathering in manufacturing and supply chain operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries. - Intermediate
Experience with ERP Orchestrator, CaféOne, BI Publisher, and Tools Release versions. - Intermediate
Expertise in integration of ERP with MES, SCADA, or other manufacturing execution systems. - Intermediate
Specialized Knowledge:
Proficiency in ERP modules related to: Manufacturing (PDM, Shop Floor Control, BOM, Routings, Work Orders) , Supply Chain (Inventory, Procurement, Sales Order Management, Demand Planning)o Distribution & Logistics
Knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and reporting tools.
Familiarity with ERP integration technologies like API, XML, and Web Services.
Experience with ERP toolsets for customization and development, such as Form Personalization, UDOs, and One View Reporting.
Soft Skills:- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex ERP issues.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver projects on time and within scope.- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
The starting salary for this position ranges from $115,000.00 to $130,000.00. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of base salary that Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
