Position Overview: We are seeking a Pre-Employment Specialist to join our team in Houston or Sugar Land Texas on a 12 month contract. As a Pre-Employment Specialist you will play a critical role in providing administrative support to the Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Safety and Field Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the HR, Talent, Safety and field operations teams
Ensure timely and accurate data entry such as documenting notes, updating statuses in the recruiting tool, updating spreadsheets, and completing weekly reports
Review pre-employment screening reports, escalate to appropriate department when necessary
Order background checks, drug screenings, and other required pre-employment screening reports
Create a positive candidate experience by remaining attentive and responsive during the recruiting and pre-employment process
Timely and appropriate communication with internal and external customers
Communication with third party vendors to obtain results, when necessary
Ensure all searches comply with Company policies and procedures and with employment laws and regulations
Adherence to all DOT and FMCSA regulations and standards
Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws as well as current human resources best practices

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Strong work ethic, demonstrating integrity, trust, and maintain confidentiality
Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributor
Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports and associated documents
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines
Flexibility to accept and adapt to change as well as the commitment to seek continuous improvement
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operation, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributor with excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
One (1) or more years' experience of high-volume administrative, human resources, or safety support
Proficient in Microsoft office with experience in maintaining confidential files and reports.
Knowledge of DOT regulations strongly preferred
