Join our team as a Float Pharmacist and help support our pharmacies at various clinics.
Please note: This is a float position, and regular travel is required to several clinics in the Yakima Valley and to Walla Walla, WA.
What does it mean to join our team as a pharmacist?
As a pharmacist at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, you are truly integrated into a team-based healthcare organization working to the top of your licensure. Pharmacists are involved in all aspects of patient care and have access to patient charts, labs, medications, and diagnoses. With the ability to prescribe or modify care plans via collaborative agreements, our goal is to ensure that patients receive the best and most complete, cost-effective medications and care possible. Aside from traditional outpatient dispensing, pharmacists provide clinical support to medical providers via chronic refill authorization, therapeutic interchanges, and prior authorization completions. Additionally, there is an opportunity for clinical visits managing diabetes, hypertension, anticoagulants, and asthma, amongst other chronic conditions, with direct face-to-face or telehealth patient care.
In addition to regular pharmacist duties, you’ll have the opportunity to work under a refill authorization and therapeutic interchange protocol. This is truly a great opportunity to work at a company where quality patient care comes first, and you are given the support you need to spend the necessary time with patients to accomplish that.
