You will develop new aerospace product designs related to manufacturing/fabrication and collaborate with advanced customers in the defense and space fields. Your focus will be on developing new composite manufacturing processes and preparing them for initial production.

Title: Process Engineer - Machining and Metrology
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers to address technical manufacturing challenges and provide design for manufacturing input.
Support the evaluation and integration of new capital equipment, providing data for selection, installation, and commissioning.
Manage and qualify the development of new machining and metrology manufacturing processes.
Work with peers, partners, and engineering management to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution.
Participate in proposal preparation, job quoting, and technical evaluation of new work.
Ensure process development adheres to established procedures and safety practices.
Perform root cause analysis for process anomalies and support decisions with data analysis.
Collaborate with vendors and partners on machine repair and optimization.
Design process tooling or work with tool designers and manufacturers.
Develop robust documentation for development processes.
Collaborate with vendors and industry partners on the acquisition and development of manufacturing tools and tooling.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5-10 years of applicable experience in aerospace, automotive, medical, or industrial manufacturing.
Exemplary work ethic, creative passion for building, and attention to detail.
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Familiarity with tooling selection, fixture design, CAD, and metrology.
Technical writing and process documentation experience.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience and ability to manage workflow priorities.
Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering; High Temperature Carbon or Ceramic Composites; Advanced Manufacturing Processes; or Program Management.
Experience in new product development related to CNC Machining, CMM Programming, or Aerospace Manufacturing.
Composites manufacturing experience.
Extensive knowledge of CNC and CMM machine operation.
Experience in precision fixture and/or gauge design.
