Responsibilities:
Design and prepare calculations and specifications for various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects including utility pipelines, storage facilities, pumping stations and treatment facilities.
Prepare project plans for process water/wastewater, instrumentation and controls, site plans, and utility plans to support project approval and construction.
Review civil engineering plans, including public infrastructure, private, commercial, and residential development plans to ensure compliance with relevant codes.
Evaluation and review of stormwater management permits and plans.
Interact with clients regarding ongoing and future public works projects.
Attend meetings, including staff meetings and municipal board meetings as needed.
Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets/schedules.
Preparation of technical documents/reports.
Actively participate in the water/wastewater industry, stay well-informed of new technologies, and participation in professional societies.
Support new business development by contributing to the company's strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning.
Respond to requests for proposals (RFP's).
Assist project teams, mentor junior staff, and review project assignments.
Qualifications:
BS Degree in civil or environmental engineering
Minimum of 5 years of water/wastewater experience
Professional engineering (PE) license in the state of Pennsylvania is required
Understanding of Pennsylvania regulations specific to sanitary sewers, water/wastewater treatment systems
Ability to work within multiple design means and meeting demanding schedules
