Position Overview
Spartanburg Methodist College seeks a dynamic, student-focused educator to join our faculty as a tenure-track professor in the Camak Core Program. This faculty member will play a critical role in shaping the future of the program, contributing to the development and delivery of innovative coursework designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and career readiness.   • Teach 12 credit hours each semester

  • Develop and teach courses within the Camak Core curriculum, including topics such as professional communication, project management, design thinking, and office-based technologies.

  • Work closely with other Professional Development faculty members to ensure an intentionally scaffolded curriculum builds throughout the coursework and a consistent experience and outcomes across all courses.

  • Design experiential learning opportunities that connect classroom instruction to real-world applications, including internships, capstone projects, consulting projects and collaborative industry partnerships.

  • Collaborate with employers and community partners to create workforce-aligned projects and career exploration experiences.

  • Engage in ongoing curriculum development to ensure alignment with labor market trends, NACE Career Competencies, and student career outcomes

  • Masters degree required. Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field preferred. The degree discipline may vary as practical work experience is a critical component of this academic discipline.
