Your Role



The Technical purchase & data controller will manage ERP (SAP) transactions integral to efficient engineering operations on the site with a focus on material procurement and stock management. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will manage all MRO purchase transactions for the replenishment of stock and creation of new stock within the MRO material management stream. The role will support project transactions within SAP for creation of new projects and assist with training and purchasing for ongoing project needs. Other duties relating to engineering maintenance within the ERP system such as material planning, maintenance planning, asset lifecycle analysis, cost management, and data analysis will be provided as necessary subject to site requirements. This position is based in St. Louis at 3050 Spruce Street.


Responsibilities:


Manage MRO (engineering spares) reordering processes to ensure stock levels are maintained in line with business continuity needs


Process stock reorders through the site ERP system (SAP)


Proactively manage spares holdings to optimize business efficiencies


Manage spares data records in the ERP system and update system records with new spares requirements


Co-ordinate with stores personnel and maintenance teams to manage shutdown spares requirements in an efficient manner


Continue the development of material use lists for ongoing maintenance operations across all departments


Provide support for systems engineering as a key user of site engineering ERP system for all aspects of maintenance operations


Co-ordinate with maintenance, MRO and quality for all aspects of spares supply replacement, obsolescence, and interchangeability


Provide analysis and outputs from ERP system to measure, monitor and control spare parts operations on site including reporting of KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) on a regular basis


Liaise with project teams and individual departments as necessary to develop a coordinated approach to new equipment spares holdings


Provide training and assistance to project initiators for the instigation and maintenance of CapEx transactions in the ERP system


Monitor ERP system for user compliance with site practices and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)


Support Systems Engineering and Finance for budgetary constraints and cost analysis of maintenance spend


Provide expertise and training on correct use of site ERP system as relates to site Engineering


Engage with other requested activities and duties deemed necessary for effective operations of site Engineering


Travel as necessary to support project and site objectives


Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos within the engineering team


Develop the competencies and skills of technical and engineering staff to improve site performance


Conduct all activities and responsibilities with due regards for Site EHS and Quality requirements


Instill and maintain a sense of urgency and customer focus within the MRO team and the wider engineering group



Who You Are




Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of experience with managing engineering data systems and maintenance management software (BI, Uptimize, Foundry, etc.)




Preferred Qualifications:



  • SAP experience with purchasing, materials management and maintenance/asset modules

  • Advanced computer skills, i.e., MS Excel, MS VBA, MS project, MS word

  • Familiar with calibration, asset management, reliability and project integration
