This position reports directly to the Multiplex Director Materials, and is based in New Albany, IN.*
As the Strategic Sourcing Manager for our Multiplex brand, you will be responsible for developing and implementing improved strategic sourcing procedures and policies. You will be creating cost estimates and forecasts, negotiating cost-effective contracts with key suppliers, and overseeing our sourcing team.
Major Accountability:
Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
Develop and implement site savings targets and results that drive overall cost improvement and efficiencies in the supply chain.
Manage and maintain supplier contracts and agreements.
Ensure purchased materials and services are available as needed to support production matching demand and future requirements while assuring that those levels are managed against cost and inventory metrics.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Develops and implements multi-year category strategies creating value for the brand.
Develops and executes specific annual total cost and supply chain improvement plans with appropriate KPI's and Supplier Scorecards.
Negotiates supply and inventory agreements, commercial settlements, and other types of agreements.
Partners with key internal stakeholders to drive sourcing decisions based on technical requirements, service, quality, price, and environmental footprint.
Manage and develop purchasing team.
Ensures success of NPD launches, outsourcing and supplier changes by ensuring all gate deliverables are in place.
Define and implement sourcing processes to mitigate risk and ensure security of supply.
Manage suppliers to ensure global Trade compliance requirements are followed and maintained.

Experience & Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or related field, MBA preferred; with minimum of 10 years' experience in sourcing, procurement or related area. Will consider a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Familiarity with procurement systems.
Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating multi-disciplinary contracts, strategic category management and Company programs/initiatives Experience in strategic sourcing or procurement management with up to $50M spend.
Proficiency using formal strategic sourcing processes, category management, and supplier relationship management methods.
Strong negotiating skills; excellent understanding of terms and conditions of development, supply and inventory agreements.
Knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and materials management principles and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of staff and management.
Experience in global, multi-plant manufacturing organization with revenues more than $500M.
Preferred experience in industrial OEM, automotive, HVAC, or food service industry equipment with an electronic background.
Normal office conditions with extended periods of sitting or standing.
Travel: may be required to travel domestically and internationally. 25%
