The Data Science Institute at University of Chicago invites applications for the position of Research Professor in the area of Data Science. We seek applicants with research programs in data science, dynamical systems and machine learning, who have extensive leadership experience in building research and educational programs, and who can develop advanced research partnerships with academia, non-for profit organizations, and industry. The University of Chicago has the highest standards for scholarship, is dedicated to fundamental research, and has an inherently interdisciplinary structure that is very supportive of newly emerging research opportunities. The term of the appointment is for five years with the possibility of renewal.

Qualifications



Required: A PhD in data science, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field. Candidates must provide evidence of leadership in data science.
