Job Description:

Examples of Work

• Handles the daily processing of licensing applications, including answering applicant questions, reviewing applications, data entry, obtaining fingerprints, processing payments, and maintaining spreadsheets.


• Coordinates renewal notices to ensure licensees maintain their status.


• Collaborates with other NRGC divisions and the Nebraska State Patrol on background checks and fingerprinting.


• Maintains secure files and handling of confidential information for applicant records.


• Supports the implementation of Nebraska Statutes and Rules and Regulations under Title 294 and Title 296.


• Covers the reception desk, sorting mail, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting guests as needed.


• Additional responsibilities as needed to support the Commission's evolving needs.

Requirements / Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.



Other: This job requires regular, reliable onsite attendance. Position requires in-state travel on a weekly basis and as needed. Must possess a valid driver's license.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.


• Friendly and helpful attitude.


• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external customers.


• Proficient in using computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).


• Capable of understanding, interpreting, and applying various rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and laws.


• Ability to travel to other NRGC locations and casino facilities as needed.
