What will you be doing?


Circana is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team within the headquarter controller group. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls.


Job Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate accounting entries.
  • Assist with external financial reporting, including Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and supporting documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), conduct accounting research, and prepare position memorandums.
  • Perform global consolidation tasks, including intercompany billings, reconciliations, and tie-outs.
  • Analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and income statements for assigned divisions.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support annual financial audits.
  • Manage lease queries to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842, which governs lease accounting.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying root causes of significant or unexpected variances.
  • Reconcile and review international monthly financial results, ensuring appropriate documentation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors by preparing supporting schedules and work papers.

Qualifications


  • Required

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
    • 3-5 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in the technology or service industries.
    • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
    • Experience with financial reporting, including Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and external reporting requirements.
    • Experience performing financial analysis, variance analysis, and reviewing financial statements.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Ability to manage projects to timely completion.


  • Preferred

    • Experience at a "Big Four" accounting firm (Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young (EY), or KPMG).
    • Familiarity with lease accounting standards, including Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 842.
    • Experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems as a Controller's Group representative.
    • NetSuite experience.
    • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Insights.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
