SUMMARY: An Intern is responsible for assisting with various projects within the department he/she is assigned to at K12. Essential functions may vary from administrative, clerical and support level work to more hands-on tactical work as determined by business needs. The Teaching and Learning Curriculum Intern is responsible for helping create innovative and engaging science curriculum and/or curriculum support materials, mainly for K-12 learners and their teachers. They will be assisting and/or creating student-facing assessments and/or content as well as teacher-facing content to support successful course implementation in an online classroom.

Demonstrates an understanding of the business, needs and business goals
Creates and prepares various content, assessments, presentations, teacher/course resources, and other materials as needed
Executes tasks by utilizing various technologies and platforms specific to the business in addition to the Teaching and Learning and Curriculum Development teams
Provide additional support to the team as needed
Provide additional support to the Teaching and Learning and Curriculum Development teams as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Currently pursuing M.Ed Degree
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience teaching science or a science-specific subject such as Life, Earth, and/or Physical Science, to K-12 learners
Experience designing curriculum and writing assessments
Familiarity with best practices in assessment design
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Observational and listening skills
Self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and organizational skills
Passionate about creating well-designed products for education
Ability to listen effectively, respect others' perspectives and contributions, and offer and accept constructive feedback
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
Ability to clear required background check
Capable of handling multiple assignments and prioritizing them
Consistently meets deadlines with high-quality work
Works well within a team setting
Adapts swiftly to shifting priorities and demands
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience with Learnosity as well as teaching in an online environment a plus.
We anticipate the pay to be $20 per hour.
