Position Overview
This position is responsible for the expansion of terminal sales and the coordination of materials to inventory in order to satisfy customer order fulfillment. This position works closely with aggregates management, logistics management, sales management, and our terminal operators to expand material sales from these locations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Demonstrates leadership in supporting our core values: Safety, Integrity, and Quality
Coordinate with terminal vendors by balancing inventory needs versus sales demand, coordinate upcoming pipeline of work, while maintaining customer service. Work closely with Logistics Manager.
Build relationships with customers and vendors to gain knowledge of local market activity including projects and hauler activity.
Assist the Dispatch Manager in procuring hauler assets to meet day to day needs and determined by customer orders.
Work with Tilcon Safety Department and Terminal Operators in coordinating Aggregate Terminal safety evaluations
Quoting of customers in Salesforce (CPQ) with the assistance of Sales Management when necessary
Responsbile for working with the Credit Department and assisting with the Collections process.
Use of CRM (Salesforce) with updating daily Sales Calls to log all customer interactions and Market Intel
Maintaining an accurate backlog and working with multiple lines of business to ensure proper long term and short term material sourcing
Collaborate with other Sales personnel to ensure Tilcon is the supplier of choice for all products and services
Active participation in various trade associations and community involvement
Collaborates with all Tilcon LOB to assure customer satisfaction and business accountability
Establishes new business opportunities with potential customers
Ability to work in a fast pace environment with ease
Builds long term relationships with customer base
People person with good communication skills
Participate fully in product training sessions, meetings, skills training and professional development classes.
Problem solver with ability to create solutions
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace general information on products, delivery modes, and geography
Keep management informed of activity in sales markets

Ability to remain organized while handling multiple projects/ tasks
Understand and comply with Tilcon New York Inc and CRH procedures, policies and processes.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
Required
High School Degree
Minumum 3 years Sales or related industry experience
Preferred
4-year college degree; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities.
High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to understand and apply State and US DOT rules and regulations.
Work Requirements
Strict adherence to safety requirements and company procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required.
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety Glasses, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Dust masks & Hearing Protection.
Experience in customer service or regulations
