About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a passion for automation and tool development to join the engineering leadership team. You will be responsible for leading the Automations team, tasked with creating solutions to automate manual processes and developing custom tools to enhance the productivity and efficiency to support our 10x growth from 2,500+ customers to 25,000+ customers.

 

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a full-stack team of engineers and coordinate with stakeholders, including product management, support and operation managers. You will own team's entire software development lifecycle, delivering capabilities critical to making development of internal automations and tools successful. You will take full responsibility for quality, efficiency and reliability of your focus areas; and you will build and maintain a team that reliably delivers excellent results while maintaining a culture of engagement, fairness, and continuous improvement. Lastly, being an engineer at heart, you will not shy away from technical contributions, code and design reviews.

 

This is a full-time position based out of our Novi Sad office in Serbia.

What Youll Do

• Collaborate with other teams and departments across the organization to identify areas where automation and tool development can improve productivity and efficiency
• Work across the project lifecycle: requirements, design, prototype, implementation, review, release, and monitoring
• Review and approve technical design documents and pull requests
• Manage the processes necessary to operate the team effectively
• Coach and mentor engineers on the team and help them advance in their careers
• Diagnose and resolve obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high-quality software
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the engineering management team

 

Skills Were Looking For

• Strong track record as a software engineer delivering high-impact software, 7+ years of industry experience
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to motivate teams to produce high quality software with 2+ years of experience in a leadership position
• Aptitude in decision making and problem-solving
• Demonstrated competency in project and program leadership
• Ability to develop and communicate an effective vision and get buy-in from stakeholders
• Ability to assess and iterate within an evolving software and services environment

 

Bonus Skills

• Experience in building automations and tools
• Experience in building generative AI and RAG systems
