Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $29.34.

Position Overview

Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the Elbows Production department making sure all production is completed on a timely basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the workflow, recommend employee schedules, and assign daily tasks to elbows production employees
  • Schedule production for pressing and processing areas
  • Complete daily production reporting in Excel and confirm production in SAP
  • Coordinate training and support onboarding of new production employees
  • Encourage and enforce safety and quality requirements for elbows production employees
  • Monitor supplies needed for elbows production and request orders for replenishment. Schedule scrap truck pickups
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overtime
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assign employees to workstations/tasks each day. Make recommendations to the production superintendent regarding hiring/termination of temporary employees. Manage the production schedule for pressing and processing based on the schedule created by the PD Manager.

Education and/or Experience and Skills

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • +5 years’ experience
  • English proficiency and ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong leadership and people skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Keep attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues.
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish language preferred
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification preferred
