Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 115 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer Intern to join our Windsor, CT team. This position will provide production support for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality inspection processes and plans across key manufacturing operations. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality inspection processes
  • Learn the techniques used to schedule and perform inspections during manufacturing
  • Gain hands-on experience in tracking and ensuring quality throughout the production process
  • Support the use and management of quality control databases
  • Contribute to the creation and optimization of inspection plans
  • Collaborate in drafting and updating inspection guidelines and methods
  • Help maintain and update quality data for real-time use on the shop floor
  • Interface with inspection team leaders to revise and update plans as needed

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering or similar field, with a GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Ability to efficiently isolate problems and drive root cause
  • Strong problem solving skills and written communication capability
  • Team player, comfortable working in a cross functional group
  • Experience using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent resident
