The Intern Drafter will assist other drafters in preparing drawingpackages for issuance of offshore/onshore piping, structural and electricaldesign systems utilizing/training in 2D and 3D modeling software.
JobDuties and Responsibilities:
• Assist piping, structural and electricalgroups with redline mark-ups on drawing packages;
• Assist other drafters in creating drawings forassigned projects from information supplied and verbal instructions fromdrafting group leaders while under their tutelage;
• Responsible for keeping their directsupervisor/group leader updated on any and all concerns relating to theirrespective assignments and discipline;
• Assist/learn from drafting groups to ensurethat all drawings adhere to client, and/or company Drafting Standards;
• Assist/learn from drafting groups to ensure thatall drawings adhere to client, company and/or industry Design Standards.
Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• Requires current enrollment in an accredited drafting certificate or degree program;
• Must have a basic working knowledge of MSOffice Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
• Proficient with software i.e. (AutoCAD) Autodesk
• Ability and availability to work occasionalovertime to include weekends as dictated by project requirements;
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff.

WorkingConditions:
• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment (Private or Semi-Private office) but also requires occasionaltravel to off-site work locations.
• Field duties require outdoor work in a plantor offshore platform atmosphere;
• Interaction with other team members, as wellas supervisors and client personnel;
• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels;
• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;
• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes;
• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits employee to communicate effectively;
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
Sufficient vision or other powers of observation which permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;
Sufficient manual dexterity which permit the employee to perform routine office duties;
