Job Description:

What will you do?


  • Supplier Forecast Management: Develop and manage supplier schedules based on the master production schedule.

  • Material and Product Flow Management: Oversee the flow of raw materials and sub-assemblies from suppliers to the workshop, and the flow of finished goods from the workshop to distribution centers/customers.

  • Upstream Flow Organization: Coordinate upstream flows with suppliers to enhance supplier supply chain performance. Set and release supplier POs, forecast, and manage logistics terms and conditions.

  • Master Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of vendor and material information, including logistics solutions, batch sizes, lead times, packaging, dimensions, ABC/FMR analysis, replenishment, and stocking policies.

  • Stock Level Supervision: Supervise stock levels and coverage to meet service level requirements.

  • Job Shortage Monitoring: Monitor job shortages and expedite as necessary.

  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance and schedule adherence, escalating issues as needed.

  • Supply and Stock Management: Maintain the update, quality, and consistency of key parameters such as replenishment lead time, quantity, frequency, and stocking policy.

  • Procurement Optimization: Organize and optimize the procurement of components with suppliers following SPS principles, from the supplier's last added value to the point of use in the plant (physical and information flows, in close association with LWS4).

  • Supplier Forecast and PO Management: Generate and distribute supplier forecasts and POs within supplier lead times to ensure JIT delivery of products to manufacturing.

  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance to schedule delivery and accuracy, escalate issues as needed, and implement containment measures.

  • Local Supplier Development: Develop the local supplier base using improvement tools and competencies (Material management, SPS).

  • Supplier Management Implementation: Implement rules and principles for managing suppliers, including PPEP, transfer/disengagement processes, SAM audits, and contract/logistics terms and conditions.


What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

  • Familiarity with production planning software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools

  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.

  • Ability to develop and manage supplier schedules based on production forecasts and demand planning

  • Proficiency in managing the flow of materials and products through the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.

  • Strong negotiation skills to manage logistics terms and conditions, and to develop and maintain supplier relationships.

  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with various departments and stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve production-related issues quickly and effectively.

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a dynamic supply chain environment.

  • Manufacturing Environment: Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, with a solid understanding of production processes and workflows.

  • Several years of experience in supply chain roles, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.

  • Proven experience in developing and managing supplier schedules based on production forecasts and demand planning

  • Experience in analyzing supply chain data to ensure accuracy and monitor supplier performance.

  • Supply Chain Management: Experience in supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and supply chain management software, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is required

  • 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing setting is an asset
