Job Description:

Surgical technologists assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing sterile instruments, supplies, and support.They play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative Preparation:
Sterilize equipment and supplies
Set up the operating room
Prepare patients for surgery
Gather and organize surgical instruments

Intraoperative Assistance:
Pass sterile instruments and supplies to surgeons
Monitor and maintain a sterile field
Assist with patient positioning
Handle and count surgical sponges and needles
Collect and preserve specimens

Postoperative Care:
Help transfer patients to recovery
Clean and restock the operating room
Dispose of medical waste
Additional Duties:
May assist with anesthesia, assist in performing wound closure, assist with patient education, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
