This position reports to the General Manager. Reporting to this position are Customer Service, Service Center, Warehouse, and Support Services. Responsible for the overall
sales gross margin and operational results which include Support Services, Purchasing, Warehouse, Service Center, Customer Service and Inventory Control in divisions within
assigned region. Determine objectives, develop plans and policies with corporate guidance and allocation of resources to achieve the necessary objectives. Organize the divisions, determine and allocate authority through delegation of responsibilities to subordinates. Develop and utilize control necessary for achieving objectives within the framework of the organization's policies. Strive to increase productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure operations are performed in compliance with established company policy and procedure.
• Responsible for facilities maintenance.
• Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory and service levels.
• Communicate operational policies and procedures.
• Responsible for managing the Support Services, Service Center, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Customer Service Departments.
• Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the divisions and all decisions and actions of personnel under his/her jurisdiction.
• If responsible for multiple locations, travel to each division for the purpose of ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and processes, as well as conducting training and communicating company policy.
• Responsible for resolving escalated customer complaints.
• Responsible for setting objectives, developing policies and procedures and plans, and allocating resources to achieve those objectives.
• Select, train, develop and motivate employees. Evaluate performance and recommend salary actions to ensure a stable and competent organization.
• Provide support and guidance to operational employees to ensure maintenance of positive morale and motivation.
• Responsible for pricing out bids.
• Responsible for managing expenses and meeting budget.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment to minimize company losses and liability and protect employee's well being.
• Ensure safety training programs and recommendation are adhered to.
• Organize and oversee employee's return to work with alternate, modified or regular duties with assistance from Workers' Compensation/Safety Specialist.
• Attend regular monthly safety meetings reviewing accident reports, trends, safety concerns, safety suggestions, evaluations, safety awareness programs, corrective actions and necessary improvements.
• Responsible for establishing a proper level of staffing.
• Establish and measure performance of all operational departments.
• Approve requests for time off.
• Review all accident reports and create action plan to help prevent further occurrences.
• Maintain driver, warehouse and shop statistics.
• Responsible for equipment, vehicles and facilities.
• Respond to special price requests.
• Review Cost of Goods report on a daily basis.
• Approve credits for returns or pricing.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
• Previous AS400 experience preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse staff and projects effectively and efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
• Previous people and project management experience
• Previous experience in a distribution environment dealing with warehouse
equipment, machines, parts, and shipping via common carrier and UPS, preferred not required.
• Ability to professionally interact with a wide range of key executive members and Corporate staff.
• Strong analytical skills with a good to excellent proficiency level in MS Office programs.
• Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform statistical operations.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments with no supervision.
• Capable of assimilating information quickly and reaching conclusions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
