Senior Accountant


Summary:



This is a full-time hybrid position that provides professional and administrative support to the Accounting Department of the client. The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This person will directly report to the Controller of Accounting for supervision purposes.



Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting.


• CPA highly preferred.


• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.


• In-depth understanding of GAAP.


• Experience with GL functions and month/quarter/year-end close processes.


• Proficiency in financial reporting software and MS Excel.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking.


• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well in a team environment.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Record and analyze asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries.


• Reconcile subsidiary accounts and resolve discrepancies.


• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate trial balance reconciliation.


• Ensure timely and accurate broker payments and reconcile broker activity.


• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss reports.


• Perform variance analysis and assist with forecasting.


• Assist with compliance to GAAP and support external audit processes.


• Help implement internal controls and ensure legal compliance.


• Protect confidential information and maintain up-to-date job knowledge.
