AR/Billing Specialist - Contract - To - Hire at Ledgent Finance & Accounting in Shakopee, Minnesota

Job Description:

This is a Temp-To-Hire role (3-6 months before converted). Fully On-Site in Shakopee

Position: AR/Billing Specialist - Commercial Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and distribute customer invoices


• Record and apply customer payments


• Manage collections and follow up on aging accounts receivable


• Identify slow-paying customers and potential lien candidates


• Research and resolve billing discrepancies


• Communicate collection status to Controller, Owners, and Project Managers


• Set up and maintain customer and project records

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of billing/accounts receivable experience in the construction industry


• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required)


• High level of integrity and confidentiality


• Experience with Sage 300 (or similar accounting software) is a plus
