Position Overview:



Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a talented Process Engineer Manager to join their client's team in Connecticut. This role is critical for identifying and overseeing engineering projects aimed at improving production efficiency across all aspects of Production. The position involves implementing new equipment, processes, procedures, and designs through process improvement initiatives. A focus on machine design improvements and reliability is also essential.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for electrical, electronic, and mechanical upgrades, improvements, and repairs on envelope machinery, laser printers, bindery high-speed cutting, folding, and finishing equipment, high-speed inserting equipment, lettershop high technology inkjet printers, and pick and place machines.


• Oversee new equipment installations and validation.


• Provide support for all mechanical, electrical, electrical controls, and machine control troubleshooting, repair, and installation.


• Develop and sustain machine reliability and maintenance.


• Support technician staff in all electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.


• Identify, specify, and recommend new equipment, including ROI evaluation.


• Implement methods and procedures to reduce cost and improve operating efficiency across departments.


• Implement cost-effective solutions to throughput constraints.


• Maintain production quality standards supporting the lettershop quality systems team.


• Participate in safety initiatives throughout manufacturing.


• Comply with company rules and regulations, adhering to safety procedures and PPE requirements.


• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.


• Perform employee evaluations as needed and within a reasonable timeframe.


• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities impacting the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.


• Perform other related duties to achieve department and company goals.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; a four-year college degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred.


• 5 years of supervisory and related experience in high-speed automation in manufacturing.


• Experience in mail processing or equivalent is a plus.


• Competencies include machine design and controls, industrial automation, management skills, machine control software and programming, machine maintenance and reliability, machine component inventory control, organizational and analytical skills, project management, teamwork and collaboration, good written and verbal communication skills, solid knowledge of computers and software, and lean manufacturing.

Required Work Hours:



Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

Benefits:



As a supervisor position, this role offers a competitive salary with a range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
