Our legal client headquartered in Boston's Seaport is seeking a permanent Legal Billing Specialist to join their team in assisting attorneys with client billing and resolve any billing discrepancies. This position will report to the Senior Client Billing Director.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required
3 years working in a related accounting function- billing, invoice, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections required
MS Office, Advanced Excel required,
Aderant software experience highly preferred
1+ years' experience in legal or banking billing required.
Ability to assume responsibility for assigned tasks with follow-up and follow-through and working in an efficient and timely manner.
Must have an understanding of basic accounting principles and have an aptitude for working with numbers, and the software.
Ability to quickly, efficiently and consistently perform accurate math calculations as would pertain to basic accounting functions and/or spreadsheet work.
Strong interpersonal skills, including good verbal skills, ability to interact positively with people at all levels of the business
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verifies the daily billing production.
Prepares time and billing reports using database software
Reviews, prepares, and approves client bills according to attorney and client instructions.
Prints and distributes attorney pre-bills and billing-related reports as requested and prepares ad hoc reports for attorneys/clients.
Provides training and support to attorneys and assistants for ExpertImage, iTimekeep, and PrebillManager.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and use various third-party billing systems.
Backs up the Client Billing team and fills in during absences and provides back-up coverage to other areas of Finance as applicable.
