We are looking for a detail-oriented Software and Hardware QA Engineer to join our team. You will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing across the development lifecycle, with a focus on Power Sources, PDUs, UPS, and other data center power devices. Expertise is required including software and hardware requirements verification, collaborating with other engineering disciplines including electrical design and mechanical design as well as firmware development.
What You Will Do
Analyze system specifications to understand software functionality.
Develop test cases to evaluate web-based client performance.
Implement firmware testing methodologies, tools, and solutions.
Validate web applications and documentation against software development standards.
Conduct various testing types, including functional, regression, system, integration, performance, configuration, GUI, and UAT.
Address technical issues and defects.
Track quality metrics, such as defect densities and open issues.
Ensure new integrations meet requirements and specifications.
Perform post-release testing to verify ongoing software performance.
Contribute to product design reviews by assessing requirements and identifying risks.
Lead testing projects, including test planning, execution, and metric reporting.
What You Will Bring
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree a plus.
Certification: ISTQB Functional Test Engineer is a plus, will be needed in the first year of employment.
Experience: Prior experience as a Software or Firmware Tester, creating clear and comprehensive test plans and cases.
Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies. Familiar with software configuration management, defect tracking, and peer review tools.
Power System Expertise: Understanding of power-related products and concepts (e.g., voltage, current, energy, PDUs, UPS, Chroma test devices). Ability to read schematics and data sheets is a plus.
Automation & Scripting: Experience with API testing tools like Postman. Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or JavaScript.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
