SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Engineer II.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer witha solid background of Submarine Communications and Electronic Warfare (EW)systems from an ‘end-to-end’ perspective. Job duties include but are not limited to Submarine CSRR and BLQ-10 EW SHIPALT / Platform design, system testing (including RF), quality assurance and post-installation technical support for all submarine ship class configurations. Candidate should be familiar with all aspects of NEWCON and MODERNIZATION type programs with GFI packages.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Assist in developing and proving out operational use cases for new communications acquisition capabilities.
Provide subject matter expertise on threat signals of interest and guidance on relevant threat databases.
Integrate communications acquisition systems engineering tasks into model-based systems engineering tools, such as the Cameo systems modeler.
Analyze validity and relevance of communications acquisition-related requirements in System Performance Specification (SPS), as well as requirements related to Electronic Warfare (EW)/Electronic Support Measures (ESM).
Provide insight and solutions for improving communications acquisition simulation/stimulation.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on training support for new communications acquisition capabilities.
Performing RF data review and analysis for the AN/BLQ-10 Electronic Warfare (EW) system including Carry On Equipment (COE) and outboard antennas and sensors ensuring system performance meets specification.
Perform Technical investigations into BLQ-10 system and outboard sensor system and antenna performance issues and corrective actions.
Write/revise/review/validate test procedures for the BLQ-10 system and outboard antennas and sensors.
Perform receipt inspection testing of various BLQ-10 systems, outboard antenna and sensor systems, and special support equipment.
Assist with injected and over-the-air Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation events as related to communications acquisition, as necessary.
Participate in system design reviews, architecture working groups, and other milestone meetings as required in support of communications acquisition improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor'sDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is recommended. In lieu of educational criteria, significanttechnical work experience such as active-duty military or prior work in thisarea is acceptable.
Experience: 3 years of experience. U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret clearance is required.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Applicant should have excellent communication skills and able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring tables.
Must be able to use O-scope/Digital Voltmeter and various type sweep gear.
Software experience with Linux, C++, Oracle, JAVA, & HTML a plus.
Experience with Fiber Optic a plus. Individual should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and well versed in Microsoft Office Suite Software.
UScitizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearanceis required.

Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
