This individual will contribute to the team's initiative of streamlining dashboards and reports by aiding in transitioning and migrating existing analytic projects into Tableau. You will gain hands on experience with dashboard development in Tableau and creation of SQL queries in Snowflake. The Intern position will work closely with other Analytics members, Data Governance and have exposure to business partners in the Managed Market Federal and Market Access groups.
Responsibilities
Key Duties:
Aid the team with migration efforts through Tableau development, SQL/Snowflake query creation, data loading and creating cross reference tables.
Gain understanding of Managed Market Federal and Market Access focused datasets that drive the targeted reports.
Digest existing Excel dashboards targeted for migration to Tableau interactive dashboards.
Contribute to testing of new dashboards and identify issues encountered.
Recommend opportunities for streamlining or enhancing current functionality where available.
Participate in team meetings, working sessions & group discussions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in Computer science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred candidate pursuing or recently completed master's degree.
Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable SQL/Snowflake queries with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintain documentation for dashboards, reports, and processes.
Strong knowledge of Tableau.
Troubleshoot issues with data and perform data quality checks.
Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, and follow up.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in creating interactive dashboards in Tableau.
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and process to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Experience with Excel and familiar with analytic functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Tables, conditional formatting etc
Ability to work a hybrid work schedule in our Waltham office (2-3 days per week)
