The Finance Manager will be part of our Corporate Accounting and Finance team based in our Denver, CO headquarters. This individual will have financial analysis and forecasting experience to help us with accuracy and positive outcomes supporting our continued growth.
FINANCE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for commodity trading and manufacturing operations.
Develop financial models to analyze profitability, cost structures, and capital expenditures.
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Support strategic planning by providing insights into financial performance and industry trends.
Commodity & Market Analysis:
Track and analyze commodity price movements, supply chain dynamics, and market trends.
Assess financial risks associated with commodity price fluctuations and recommend hedging strategies.
Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to optimize raw material sourcing and cost management.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance:
Monitor and analyze production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
Work with plant controllers and operations teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
Conduct variance analysis on manufacturing costs and recommend cost-reduction initiatives.
Business Partnering & Decision Support:
Provide financial insights to business leaders to drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
Work closely with sales, procurement, and supply chain teams to align financial goals with business operations.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management through dashboards and financial presentations.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities for process automation and financial reporting improvements.
Support audits and regulatory filings as needed.
SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST II QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting with expanding responsibility with a strong accounting background.
Preference for ingredient commodities or food manufacturing experience.
Manufacturing experience mandatory.
Experience developing and managing budgets, projections, forecasts, and scenario planning.
Ability to analyze budget to actual variances and identify key drivers affecting financial information. Advanced excel skills. Power BI, SQL, R
Understanding of and ability to create analysis for ROI, ROE, payback periods, rate/volume analysis, and other economic analyses as needed.
Agtech System experience a plus.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
Ability to manage confidential information.
Requires flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.
Strong communication skills - both oral and written.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequently use hands, arms, and fingers for high volume of typing, etc.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
