Job Description:

As an Automation Controls Technician, your role involves hands-on work with a variety of industrial control systems, ensuring that automation processes operate smoothly and efficiently. You'll play a key role in supporting production, performing maintenance, and optimizing automated equipment across diverse sectors.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems to ensure optimal functionality.


• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) to monitor and adjust automation processes.


• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on control systems to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.


• Assist in the setup and commissioning of new automated systems, ensuring proper configuration and integration.


• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic control issues.


• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize system performance and address any technical challenges.


• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting activities, and maintenance procedures.


• Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.


• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.


• Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.


• Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and


• Two (2) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment, or


• Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.


• Knowledge of CMMS use (preferably RedZone)


• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Automation Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field a plus.


• Proven experience with PLC programming, VFDs, and automation systems.


• Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, and control systems.


• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).


• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.


• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Base Salary Range: $30.00 – 36.00 per hour, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
