The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for outbound business development activities to create and cultivate relationships in alignment with TransmetriQ’s acquisition targets. The Sales Development Representative’s ability to create deal flow through initial stages will be instrumental in driving the team’s success.
The ideal candidate should bring experience from a metrics driven environment with a track record of success generating top of funnel leads for commercial development teams. This role will be responsible for initiating new business opportunities, and drive deal pipeline through predominantly outbound sales activities.
Job Accountability/Responsibilities:
Primary Functions:
Execute daily outreach to potential acquisition targets via cold-calling, cold-email marketing, LinkedIn, etc.
Develop strategies to achieve acquisition targets and maximize deal volume
Build and manage a robust pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, networking, and more
Accurately track and maintain sales activities, pipeline reports, forecasts, and trends through CRM
Success will be determined by the number of outbound activities and the number of high-quality opportunities generated for our Commercial Development team
1-5 years’ experience in sales/business development
Proven track record of managing/maintaining high volume sales cycles and achieving sales targets
Goal oriented to achieve outbound requirements daily/weekly/monthly
Creativity to develop new outbound strategies and techniques
Strong communication skills and a true team player
Good time management and analytical skills
Education, experience, certification/training:
Bachelor’s level degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Experience in TMS sales, logistics, supply chain management and/or rail operations is a significant plus.
Proven track record of networking and building long-term business relationships with clients.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work: Assignment involves sitting at workstation (desk) most of the time (up to 8 hours) with only occasional walking and/or standing
Keyboarding: Primarily using fingers for typing
Talking: Expressing or communicating verbally through use of spoken words (accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions to others)
Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
Visual: Through close visual acuity, required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing computer terminal; extensive reading (with or without correction).
Environment: Work is performed within an office setting and therefore there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions (i.e., extreme heat, cold, noise, etc.).
