TITLE: Supervisor, Industrial Engineering



HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm



DUTIES: • Drive a team of Engineers to support the Grand Island manufacturing site with the goal of increasing efficiency, quality, and productivity.

• Create and cultivate a culture centered on Safety, Quality and Teamwork.


• Manage Engineering Project status for site projects.


• Model capacity and analysis of various options in support of growth initiatives for long-term capacity needs.


• Develop people, process, and material flow layouts to support improvement in efficiency and capacity, including Value Stream Mapping activities.


• Participate on cross-functional project teams and risk assessments to provide engineering-related guidance.


• Resolve barriers affecting manufacturing (inventory, vendor quality issues, vendor supply etc.).


• Work directly with internal departments to address new product transfer engineering needs.


• Generate and edit standard operating procedures using Change Control.


• Conduct process analysis and root cause analysis for manufacturing processes utilizing PPI / DMAIC tools to promote a disciplined investigation approach.


• Actively interface with the Manufacturing group and other departments in problem solving concerning equipment and systems.


• Study and recommend techniques to improve existing products/processes.


• Develop manufacturing documentation such as engineering changes, BOMs, fab drawings, flow diagrams, SOPs, Procedures, and assembly drawings.

TRAVEL: Up to 5% domestic or international travel required.



REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM Education Requirement:

• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or Industrial & Systems Engineering.

MINIMUM Experience Requirement:

• 3 years' experience as an Industrial Engineer.

Required knowledge or experience with:

• Designing and working on high volume production lines and new product development;


• Building a product from New Product Development stage to Mass Production Stage;


• Lean Six Sigma subject matter expertise (DMAIC);


• Discrete Process Simulation (Arena, Simulink, Anylogic, etc.);


• Building cost models, and capacity modelling;


• FDA standard (Title 21CFR Part 820) and ISO 13485 Standard (Medical Devices);


• 3D modeling and drafting skills (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Pro- E, Solidworks, or CATIA);


• Design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA), design for manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD);


• Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Minitab (or another related statistics program);


• Time studies and Value Stream Mapping;


• Continuous Improvement;


• Analyzing and interpreting data and driving improvements that affect productivity, safety and quality.


• Failure analysis and troubleshooting;


• Quality System Guidelines and engineering support in a regulated, cGMP industry

Compensation and Benefits

The salary pay range estimated for this position Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineering based inNew York is $112,507.00-$140,000.00.
