Job Description
The Senior Director, Operation PROS is responsible for managing and supporting audits and assessments across Airline, Business Aviation, and Ground-Based Operations. This role includes overseeing associated budgets, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, and leading business development efforts to identify new opportunities and expand the client base.
Business Development: Lead business development efforts for the SGS ARGUS PROS division, identifying new opportunities and expanding the client base. And represent SGS ARGUS PROS at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the SGS ARGUS PROS team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Financial Management: Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Operational Oversight: Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all operational aspects. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety and risk management.
Audit Management: Oversee and support audits and assessments for Airline, Business Aviation, and Ground-Based Operations.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making. Collaborate with senior management to align division goals with overall company objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Experience in engaging with senior airline executives and operational teams to drive impactful decisions and improvements
10 to 20 years Aviation experience
10 plus years Airline experience
5 plus years Aviation Industry Business Development and Consulting experience with Airlines
Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams, often involving data analytics and operational optimization
Aviation Auditing Experience
Licenses/ Certifications
Airline Transport Pilots Licenses or Flight Engineer License or related aviation industry license (Required)
In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
Familiarity with innovative technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, and blockchain to enhance operational efficiency
Proficient in various types of computer software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Ability to travel globally unrestricted
Excellent attention to detail
Required integrity, tact, character, and high professional standards
Strong customer service skills
Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
