This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.
This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
Qualifications:
CDL Class A preferred
N Endorsement Required
Cannot have L, Z, E, or O restriction
Must be willing to travel
Mechanical aptitude preferred
Experience in Heavy Highway construction preferred
Excel competency a plus
Must possess a willingness to learn and be teachable
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Moving mixer trucks and tanker trailers to and from various job sites
Maintain driver logs
Pass courses and maintain certifications required to batch concrete from a volumetric mixer
Staging batch areas for latex operations
Loading sand and stone into mixers with front end loaders, backhoes and other equipment
Loading mixers with latex and water via gas powered pumps
Loading mixers with cement via compressed air
Operate controls on mixer to wash out and clean mixing auger
Clean hardened concrete off mixing auger with chipping guns
Train closely with other operators and supervision to learn how to load volumetric mixers and how to produce latex modified concrete and other products
Perform work in a safe manner aligned with Wagman’s safety and ethics guidelines
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and assist with loading and/or unloading of materials
Must be able to be bounced around when driving on very rough terrain
Must be able to climb into and out of truck cab
Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel to perform essential tasks including maintenance and inspection of equipment
Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing
Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather.
