Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Lead Sewing Operator in Batesville, MS to keep our Sewing department running smoothly. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the Sewing Supervisor by coordinating production, ensuring quality, and maintaining safety standards to drive efficiency and excellence.

We are looking candidates for our second shift – Monday to Thursday 4:15pm-2:30am, with overtime as needed Fridays and Saturdays.

We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $2,000 for new hires. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout.

The starting pay is $24.00 to $29.00 an hour depending on experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Oversee the daily operation of sewing lines, ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Verify that all necessary materials are stocked and prepared in advance to keep workflows uninterrupted and on schedule.
  • Monitor team performance closely, providing guidance and assigning tasks to optimize productivity and maintain efficiency.
  • Train new employees on proper techniques, safety procedures, and best practices while supporting ongoing skill development for the team.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records for quality control, production output, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance by coordinating with technicians and troubleshooting minor issues to minimize downtime.
  • Contribute to performance reviews by offering insights on employee strengths and areas for improvement while helping to drive process enhancements.
  • Take charge of department operations in the absence of the Sewing Supervisor, ensuring continuity and adherence to production schedules.
  • Promote and support workplace safety initiatives, including adherence to 5S principles, to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.

What You Need:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sewing operations or a related field.
  • Forklift operation (license required or willingness to obtain).
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or operational support.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Problem-solving ability to troubleshoot workflow and equipment issues.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and perform hands-on tasks.
  • Comfortable in an environment with moving machinery, heat, dust, and industrial work settings.
