We are currently looking for full-time – Recovery Support Specialist

Starting at $39,000 – $40,000 contingent upon experience, education, etc.


Youth & Family Services (YFS) help parents and young people who are striving to become healthy and restore their relationships. This division works in partnership with human services, child welfare systems, juvenile courts, and community-based service providers so that together we can help individuals and families obtain the services and skills they need to live in positive, healthy ways.


POSITION SUMMARY:

TASC-FRRP Recovery Support Specialist will provide comprehensive and specialized case management services

for adults with identified Behavioral Health needs referred to TASC from the Juvenile Court Assessment Program

(JCAP). The FRRP Recovery Liaison will be the initial point of contact for clients post initial assessment. This staff

person will provide direct services and make the initial treatment referral based on identified needs of the individual.

Statewide and location is determined by work site location.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make contact within referred client within 48 hours of notification
  • Complete intake packets for program enrollment and participation
  • Complete warm hand-off of client referral to identified Recovery Coach Program after completing initial treatment referral
  • Attend client juvenile court dates and provide written and oral testimony on the client's recovery status and treatment progress
  • Provides referrals and crisis intervention for the individuals' identified needs
  • Interview individuals, review records, and confer with other professionals to review individual progress, and
  • to determine their suitability for program participation
  • Knowledge of DSM V and ASAM criteria
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, participate in staff meetings and monthly supervisions, an participate in integrated staffing with individuals receiving TASC services.
  • Identify and refer individuals with behavioral health needs
  • Complete and submit internal and external program reports
  • Complete and maintain all required individual and program related documentation which includes documenting the results of screenings, enrollments, service plans, reports, progress notes, discharge summaries and other individual-related activities including accurate reporting of services
  • Monitor TASC database system and contractual/external database systems to ensure Individual enrollment

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or three years' lived or professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain CADC/CARS certification within the first two years in the field.
  • Must Be able to pass DCFS Background check.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
  • Certain programs may require a higher level of education, certification and/or licensures based on contractual obligations

The agency currently offers hybrid work schedules that combines in-office and remote work. Employees are required to report to the work site three days per week with the option to work up to two days remotely.
