Fall River Health Services is looking for a Part-Time Laundry Worker is responsible for the effective cleaning, processing, and distribution of linens, and other textile items to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Schedule: Working 1:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m. 25 hours a week
Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations:
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and garments according to established procedures.
Operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and finishing machines.
Quality Control:
Inspect items for stains, damage, or contamination; take appropriate action as necessary.
Ensure all items are processed according to hospital infection control policies.
Inventory Management:
Assist in inventory control of linens and supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
Maintain accurate records of laundry processed and monitor equipment usage.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other laundry staff and departments to meet the hospital's needs.
Assist with training new staff as required.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep the laundry area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.

The average Salary for this position is $15.00- $17.00 an hour, depending on years of experience.
