Position Summary

The Production Planner schedules, plans, and prioritizes orders for internal and external customer deliverables.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing capacity constraints and make resource recommendations to Production Supervisors, Production Control Manager and Manufacturing Manager
• Track part deliveries (manufactured and purchased) in support of engine assembly and parts markets
• Improve daily ERP system flow by developing systems to improve material flow and information to increase our response time to customers.
• Analyze and implement material replenishment options
• Coordinate monthly shipment plans
• Quote expedited deliveries of spare parts
• Assist in long term contract quoting
• Lead efforts to right-size inventory levels
• Ensure order priorities are in the correct lineup at machines.
• Expedite parts when necessary

• Minimum Associates Degree desired. Bachelor of Science degree in technical or business curriculum strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production scheduling or strategic buyer/planning role in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
• APICS certifications are a plus.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and experience with Oracle is a plus.
• Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes and experience implementing lean manufacturing principles are required.
• Must possess a high level of organizational and communication skills while multitasking on numerous projects as an individual contributor and leading cross functional teams.
• Experience with welding and machining preferred
